Empanada
Empanada came to us from an unexpected litter of five. The owner kept two and surrendered the remaining three into our care. Empanada and her siblings are sweet as can be. They still have puppy breath and are playful. They are entertaining to watch. Empanada is adorable and ready to find her forever people. She is nine-weeks-old. She has had first shot, is spayed and microchipped too. Please fill out adoption application to be connected to foster.
Gabby (AKA Zuri)
Gabby is a funny and gentle young dog who is affectionate and loves to cuddle. She is a very people-oriented dog and enjoys human companionship. She gets along with other dogs. She is a young dog with lots of energy and is always ready for an adventurous walk. Gabby would be an ideal companion for someone who is looking for a funny, gentle, and affectionate dog. She would benefit from owners who can spend lots of time with her and give her the attention and exercise she needs. She is a great dog.
Gabby came into our care from a local shelter. Gabby had been found as a stray along with her three puppies. The puppies were adopted out, but Gabby remained. Dogs don't do well in shelters for so long. Gabby needed a way out of the shelter, and we found a willing foster. Gabby has flourished in foster care. She is a happy and loving girl. We can't wait to help her find her forever home.
Gia
Gia is a five-month-old puppy. Our best guess is she is a Pyrenees/Aussie mix based on the dogs in the area at the time. She is timid due to her upbringing in her early life. She was found as an abandoned pup in a vineyard in the backroads of a rural town. Due to her limited socialization, Gia ended up at risk in a local shelter.
One of our fosters volunteered to take Gia on when she became code red meaning euthanasia was imminent. Gia is doing great and is blossoming. She plays so well with her foster sister.
Beckett
Beckett is a four-year-old terrier. He is a lovely boy! He is sweet and has really become a happy and confident boy now that he is out of the shelter.
Beckett was at-risk at our local shelter because he was terrified of the noisy shelter life. He was also desperately in need of grooming as his mats were painful and pinching his skin. Thankfully our groomer helped him out immediately. Beckett is doing well and ready for his ever after.
Olivia
Olivia is approaching five months of age. She loves other dogs after proper introduction and keeps up with them. She has been fostered with other small-medium dogs. She is initially timid, but warms up quickly. Olivia had a tough start of neglect and limited socialization. She has made great progress. She sleeps through the night and loves cuddles. She is still working on potty training, but she is making progress. She would make a great addition to an active family. She is spayed, microchip and up to date on her shots.
Penny (AKA Hillary)
Penny is a 10-month-old Shih-Tzu terrier mix. She is sweet and active. She is a little timid at first, but she has done well with new people quickly. Penny has been doing well with her foster (dog) brother Grady. Penny is about 9 lbs. She has lived with kids around 10 to 12 years old, and her current foster has a 5-year-old boy.
Penny has been vaccinated and spayed and she is ready to meet her forever family.
Denny
Denny is a one-year-old terrier. He is an active dog who loves the outdoors and would be great on family outings. He is good in the car and loves a human lap. He does well with other dogs after a proper introduction. He walks well on leash, is housetrained, neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
Ozzy
Sweet and beautiful Ozzy (formerly Madeline) is back with ONPP. Her family had to return her because they are going through some difficult challenges.
Ozzy is 1 year old and she is full of love and playful cuddles! She is staying in a foster home with 2 other dogs around her size and she gets along fine with them. There is also a 7 year old boy at the house that she likes to give kisses to.
Ozzy is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccines. For more information, please go to ourneighborhoodpetproject.org and fill out an application if you would like to meet her.
Chloe
Recently Adopted
Chloe is a five-year-old pug. She likes car rides, walks, and going to the park. She does well with other dogs. She is playful, but then likes to settle down next to her human.
She was clearly used for breeding, so she deserves a family that will just dote on her now until forever. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Gracie
Recently Adopted
Gracie is estimated at six months old. She is a little timid, but warms up quickly as she gains confidence. She looks like a spaniel/terrier mix and is about 9 lbs. Gracie enjoys dog companions, too. She is doing well on potty training and will be spayed soon. She is ready for your adoption application! Apply online.
All of our pets come spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Rodrigo
Recently Adopted
Rodrigo is approaching five months. He is doing well with his foster dog playmate and the six-year-old boy in the home. Rodrigo had a rough start in life, but is making up for it and gaining confidence.
Lemon-Drop
Recently Adopted
Lemon-Drop is a little on the timid side, but she has gained so much confidence during her time in foster. She has plenty of energy to play, but she also calms and snuggles nicely. Her original owner fixed her, vaccinated her, microchipped her and thought she found a good adopter. Lemon-Drop was found as a stray 4 days later. She likely got out the same day and the individual lied about it saying she was fine at home. We don't know what happened to Lemon-Drop during those four days, but she was a little shell shocked.
She will need an adopter who will bring out the diamond this girl is. She is beautiful and has a sweet nature. Lemon-Drop is about 9 months old and 20 lbs.
Mookie
Recently Adopted
Suky came to us heavily pregnant. She was being rehomed and the new owner didn't feel comfortable holding Suky through puppy weaning and health risks. Suky had 5 puppies and one was stillborn. This is her second litter and we will be spaying her to make sure it is her last litter. Mom and Dad are both miniature Schnauzers. Puppies were born 3/16/23.
Suky's friendly temperament rubbed off on her puppies. They are all sweet and happy puppies. Pookie, Wookie, Mookie and Lizzie. They will be ready for their homes about mid-May. All of our puppies come spayed/neutered, microchipped, and with shots to date.
We are expecting numerous applications, so please apply early.

Abigail
Recently Adopted
Abigail and her siblings were surrendered to our program when their owner could no longer care for them. They were part of an unintended litter. Our program was able to help fix the parents. These puppies are doing great. They are tiny right now at about 2 lbs. We expect their adult size to be about 12 lbs based on the size of their parents. Mom is a smooth-coat white terrier. Dad is a black and tan terrier/long-haired chihuahua (some Papillon?) mix. The puppies are currently about 7-weeks-old. They are eating well, tumbling in play, and sleeping in a pile of fluff together.
The puppies will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. All dogs come with shots to date, microchip, deeworming and current flea medication. The easiest way to get connected to foster is to apply as a potential adopter on our website. www.ourneighborhoodpetproject.org

Welcome to Our Neighborhood, little babies! We are calling them The Rookie litter. Two boys and two girls. They are six-weeks-old. They will be available after spay/neuter in about three weeks. We are accepting applications now. We expect them to be about 10-15 lbs as adults. Momma is 7 lbs and daddy is 14 lbs. They are chi/terrier mix.
These four are part of an unintended litter, and the owner was leaving on vacation, so we grabbed them earlier than intended. Two had been given away before we arrived, so we hope they are safe and get all of the medical care they need. We will also ensure all adults in the original owner's house are spayed/neutered.

Bitzie
Recently Adopted
Her name says it all. Bitzie is a five-pound long-haired chihuahua/terrier mix. She's four years old, inquisitive, and is drawn to her human once she has time to adjust. She gets along well with other dogs, is leash-trained and uses a potty pad when left indoors. She would be good with children and adults as she is gentle and makes a great lap dog.
Grady
Recently Adopted
Gretta and Grady came to us from our local shelter. They became at risk because they were terrified at the shelter. We brought them into foster and they have revealted how sweet they are and are getting more confident. We will focus on socialization more now since they have cleared their kennel cough.
We are looking forward to a bright future for these adorable pups! They are between 5 and 6 months of age. We would say they appear to be maltese terrier mixes. They are also getting more successful at their potty training. Patient homes would be great since they are still timid. The best way to get connected to foster is to submit an application on our site for adoptions.
